Well so that you don’t blow out the sky, you can use a graduated nutrial density filter. Meter on the sky, then note the setting. Then meter on the ground and note the setting. Example: The sky is 125 @ f/22. The ground is 125 @ f/16 So the difference is one f/stop or 2x the difference. That is the sky is 2x brighter then the ground. So you’ll need a 2x nutrial density filter. Set the camera for the ground which is 125 @ f/16. But the sky will be 2x overexposed. The 2x graduated filter will hold back 2x the light from the sky. You must adjust the filter so the dark part is covering the sky. This can be tricky when the camera is on the ground.

This page has a couple of low ones – I like using a point and shoot camera. Much easier than a DSLR 😉 I like having a point of interest in the foreground.

I have tried very few low angle shots…surprisingly most of them turned up great. This is one I clicked at a Tulip field in Keukenhof.

i tried in a-dep with my canon 300d, and what a nice surprise. the camera was on the floor and tilted up, facing into the bathroom, and another down the passage. the a-dep did try its damndest and did a damn good job i thought. i’ve never used a-dep before, but now i’ve learnt something.
